This is "Spirit", the fifth print representing the naked male in the many forms it comes in. In 1978, Gilbert Baker designed the first pride flag and in doing so, named all eight colours after a word to describe the human experience. Purple, was for spirit. Obviously now, the “general” flag, only has six colours, and more recent versions, such as the Progress flag feature eleven colours. Like people, visual representation develops. The more we see, the more we can accept.
Illustrated from me and based on studies from life drawing classes.
